Here's what I came across this week that I deemed interesting enough to share as well as some thoughts on each of them
- Loop Engineering - by Addy Osmani
- I really think there is something too this but it takes a lot of experimentation / iteration to get the setup right
- I wonder if we'll get more batteries-included setups for this in the future
- As someone who enjoys hyper customizable setups and tinkering with settings and plugins (Neovim / NixOS / Obsidian user) I do very much enjoy the current state of things
- Homelab Explained - by Bas Nijholt
- I've always been homelab-curious, never dived into it myself but love reading about other peoples setup - especially if it's powered by NixOS
- I really shouldn't start a homelab in this economy tho, please stop making me.
- Why do you need freedom? - by Geohot
- Short philosophical piece
- "what will you do against the machine that knows you better than you know yourself? Your life will be better for listening, but if you do always listen, is it still your life?"
- Don't be nice - by Daniel Roe
- Mostly restating the Paradox of Tolerance
- And I agree, we must not be tolerant of intolerance
- Hackernews comment on this have been wild
I want to read more blogs & articles and I hope to turn writing these "Recent Readings" into a weekly, or at least bi-weekly thing.
